Scott is a 2000 graduate of Fergus Falls High School. In 2002 he received his degree in Construction Electricity from Northwest Technical College (now MSCTC), Moorhead. He obtained his Journeyman license in 2005 and his Master Electrician License in 2018.
Scott, his wife Paris and their four daughters reside in Fergus Falls.
